Today we only go back to 2016 and look at a truly historical meeting, the first time the leaders of the Catholic Church and the Moscow Patriarchate had met. Exploring a little of the history of the churches since the Great Schism of 1054, we look at how the Orthodox church has organised itself. Following todays meeting they issued a Joint Declaration which is known as the Havana Declaration we look at that too and the different reactions of Christians to the meeting. How did Russia's conflict with Ukraine and their actions in Crimea and Donbass affect the meeting? And why dis such a historic meeting take place in the VIP room at the International Airport near Havana, Cuba? What gifts did they swop and who else was present?
